I hate complaining. It is the most unproductive use of time imaginable, but at times I find myself doing it. In this episode Jan and I talk about 5 Ways Complaining Will Cripple Every Area of Your Life.
The truth is sometimes we have to agitate the problem in our life to help us realize our need for the solution. As we talk about the destructive power of complaining I believe the solution will become self-evident.
Here are the 5 Ways:
- Blinds us from opportunity and solutions
2. Isolates us relationally
3. Keeps our focus on a past hurt or offense instead of the present opportunity
4. Undermines our strength to take the next right step
5. Complaining is the hallmark of a victim mentality.
“Be grateful for what you have and stop complaining, it bores everybody else, does you no good, and doesn’t solve any problems.” – Zig Ziglar

I thought this was a great episode, that touched the many aspects of complaining. I have been learning that complaining, isn’t healthy: especially if your complaining about how you feel relating to health. Our words are seeds, and who do we believe the most but ourselves, so when I contently speak about it ex: I have a headache well the seed is planted and so it grows. When I feel good I don’t necessarily keep stating that fact, but I should.
Also when we are hearing someone complain a lot we tend to either turn them off, or have an answer for them, especially if it is a constant with them. And it also drains you mentally and physically. Basically i take it to the Lord, or talk it over with a person who can hold me accountable and pray for me.
