I start today’s notes with some scripture that was shared before we taped episode 12.  The theme of the episode comes from Romans 12:21 which reads:  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.  We’ve talked about the discouraging effect of the negative news cycle and negativity in general here at Wake Up Hope in the past and it continues to be a force to be reckoned with.  Sometimes it can just be so hard to stay positive given all the negativity that surrounds us.  A lot of our listeners are either in positions of influence or striving to be, whether it be as parents, teachers, coaches or in business,  and it’s important that we all stay positive and encouraged in whatever walk of life we are in.  Woodly talks about our level of encouragement as being synonymous with our cell phone battery – it takes consistent recharging in order to remain effective.  In this week’s episode we talk about a few ways to recharge your encouragement bank.

In Today’s Episode…

Learn how to stay encouraged!  Woodly and I discuss 5 ways to remain encouraged when you start to lose some of that focus.  It’s important as leaders and molders of minds, opinions and policies that we keep ourselves seeing clearly and leading in a positive and clear direction.  See some ways to keep doing that below:

  1. Your identity transcends your vocation
  2. Your life makes a difference
  3. Time with your family is well spent
  4. Don’t compare your availability to another person in another season of life
  5. Love is stronger than death
